Dr. Alex J. RobinsonDr. Alex J. Robinson

Dr. Robinson began his life in Waxahachie as a third-grade student at Northside Elementary. While at Waxahachie high school, he was a member of both the varsity baseball and football teams. He was a proud member of the 1992 Waxahachie Indian 4A State Champion football team. Upon graduation from Waxahachie High School in 1995, Dr. Robinson continued his education at Texas A&M University, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1999. While attending the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Robinson was selected to the Dean’s List and the Optometric Honor Society. In addition, he completed his clinical training at the University Eye Institute in Houston and the Ft. Carson Army Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He received his degree in the spring of 2003. After graduation, Dr. Robinson returned to Waxahachie and worked with Dr. B.D.Cope and has since assumed all patient care following Dr. Cope’s retirement. Dr. Robinson offers complete eye examination, including evaluation of Cataracts, Glaucoma and Diabetic eye disease. He carries the latest designer frames, the highest quality lens materials and fits all types of contact lenses, including bifocal and extended wear. Dr. Robinson is a member of the American Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Society, Waxahachie Lions Club, and Ellis A&M Club. Dr. Robinson and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children, Agatha, Benjamin and Olivia. Dr. Robinson is very proud and happy to return to Waxahachie to begin his career and looks forward to many years of caring for the eye care needs of Ellis County.
